In a trial for the protection of political-electoral rights of citizens sponsored by Rusconi Lawyers, the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation ordered the Morelense Institute for Electoral Processes and Civic Participation to consider the registration applications of MORENA's candidates for councilors of Cuernavaca as timely submitted, after these registration requests were initially discarded for being late by the political party. This was because the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation determined that the late submission of the registrations was an act by the political party that violated the right of its members to be voted for.
