The Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Power of the Federation ordered the State Council of the PRD in Morelos to remove Abel Espín García as President of the party in that entity, due to his simultaneous occupation of the position of Senator of the Republic. This was resolved in the sentence issued on August 3, 2012, by the Regional Chamber Corresponding to the Fourth Plurinominal Circumscription of the Tribunal, due to the Trial for the Protection of the Political-Electoral Rights of the Citizen registered with the number 1335/2012, sponsored by Rusconi & Sauza.
