In a trial for the protection of political-electoral rights of citizens sponsored by Rusconi Lawyers, the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation annulled the internal selection processes of candidates for councilors of Cuernavaca and plurinominal local deputies of MORENA in Morelos for the July 2018 election. This was because the party refrained from holding assemblies that should have selected these candidates and instead decided that the intraparty electoral authority would unilaterally make the designation.
